Beginner Lessons with Urdu Translations

Postby محبوب » Sat Oct 04, 2008 10:55 pm

I have translated some of the Arabic Pod's beginner lessons into Urdu. The translated files are attached.

Beginners Arabic.zip
This zip file contains word files. But you must have urdu nafees nastaliq fonts installed in your system in order to read urdu text. If you don't have that font, just select the urdu text and apply any other font e.g. Tahoma, Times New Roman etc.

Salamu Alaikum,

You will find it funny  but I would rather be using these files to learn Urdu!
I actually find your website very interesting and the way you're teaching Arabic very efficient and enjoyable.
I already know Arabic, but if I didn't I think it would have been very useful to me.
What I would like to ask for by the way is whether there is some similar website to teach Urdu. Language centers in my country don't offer Urdu  so I need such methodology to master it because the resources available online so far are not that helpful.

Anyways, you're doing a great job guys!
Keep up the good work

Salaam

Hay Kauser,

I'm not aware of any similar podcasting sites for Urdu. Not sure if you tried searching or some in Google. Here's an idea though, I just checked to see if UrduPod.net is available for purchase and it is, so maybe someone here can start one!

As you know Arabic and English = that automatically means you know Urdu.

I am not sure what do you mean by that .... but as far as i know, Urdu is the combination of Arabic, Farsi, Sanskrit, Prakrat & Turkish language.. but if you know Arabic & Farsi languages well then you can call your self " MAAHER-E-URDU "

Thanks for sharing the same. I was looking for some Arabic- Urudu translations to help my student. I am a part time Arabic tutor and for my new Urudu student the lessons you have shared here would be very helpful. We are very happy to get this links.
