Beginner -- Burnt Cake (Listener Feedback)

Mohammed and Ehab --

Thank you for this lesson. I didn't know the word for "smell" or "burnt" so this was another great script. Good to have Collum (sp?) on.

Again, on the subject of sun letters and moon letters. "R" is a sun letter, yet you pronounced the word for "smell/odor" (ألرائحة) as al-raa'iHa and not ar-raai'Ha.

Does "r" sometimes act as a moon letter? When I hear the capital of Saudi Arabia pronounced in Arabic newscasts, I hear "Ar-Riyadh."

Ahlan Rashid;
The letter (ر) is always a sun letter so the (ل) is not pronounced. We write (ل) in the script so people don't get confused and learn the right way of writing it, but it should be always silent letter (Arra2e7ah).
