Lyrics bil3arabee?

Postby tomest05 » Tue Jun 12, 2007 6:54 pm

Merhaba,

Hi, I was wondering if the ArabicPod crew or other listeners know of good websites to find lyrics to Arabic music. I enjoy reading the songs in Arabic and of course translations would be great! I also heard that there is a program that people use to subtitle movies and music videos, have there been alot of work done this publicly for Arabic movies and music videos that we can download for free somewhere? I go to YouTube alot, but almost none of it has translations. Any help on this matter would be great, I love to learn more about Arabic music, it's so beautiful. I think for beginner listeners Sami Yusuf is great because he tends to sing alot of songs in English and Arabic and they usually parallel each other in meaning. My favorite is Mu'3alim (the teacher) referring to the Prophet Mohammed, pbuh.

مع السلامة

Merhaba Tomes,

I found some websites for Arabic music lyrics in Google http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q= ... rics&meta=
The first site seems good.

There is a program I have been learning to use to add subtitles to video clips, I have tried a few but i found this one the easiest, it's called subtitles workshop. I don't know if a lot of work has been done on adding subtitles for Arabic movies and music videos, try subscene.com, you might find English subtitles for Arabic movies there. It would be great if some of our users add subtitles to movies and upload them to somewhere like youtube.

I agree Arabic music and ansheed are beautiful. Sami Yusuf is good, and so is Yusuf Islam. Yusuf Islam used to be a famous singer in the 80s, his name used to be Cat Stephens.

By the way, have you tried Google's language tools on http://www.google.co.uk/language_tools?hl=en It's great for translating things from English to Arabic

Thank you,

I'm looking into them. Yea unfortunately there hasn't been alot of work done yet on some of the latest songs yet. Do you happen to know Arabic sites that may not have translations but the lyrics in Arabic? I know just enough arabic to navigate on most websites. haha. Thanks

Salam A7'i Tomes;
I have a website that gives the lyrics in both of English and Arabic,, in terms of Arabic, they used English letters to describe Arabic words as pronunciation,, here is the site:
http://www.dinproductions.co.uk/din/albumlyrics.aspx :) you'll know why I smile later

I get the lyric some one in spanish foro answer to me. I see I can write in arabic.
