Help for student?

my name is Moss
Im a student in NYC
i think Arabic calligraphy is beautiful and i was curious about the discussions on this site. cool!
im looking for some help too
can anyone possibly tell me what this says? it may be bad grammer. i just dont know....

Ahlan Moss, and ahlan to everyone from NYC,

The first part which says (السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته) is simply the greeting that is used in Arabic, which is (Peace be upon you). The second part is a bit confusing, cause the word (دوامة) could mean the roundabout that kids play at, also it means whirlpool, but since the word after it is (أطفال) which means (children) then the direct meaning of the sentence (في دوامة الأطفال) is (in the kids' roundabout).
