Hallo
My name is Johann and I would like to ask a question.
Underneath I wrote 2 sentences, saying „I can not play because I must learn"

1 لا أستطيع أن ألعب لأن يجب /علي/ أن أدرس
لا أستطيع أن ألعب لأنه يجب /علي/ أن أدرس 2

Are both sentences correct?
Can you give me a short explanation, in what case you add an personal endung after "إن وأخواتها"

Thanks a lot
Johann

Mar7aba Johann;
That is really good question.. I can simplify the answer like this:
Use LEANNA (لان) whenever there is a noun after it. i.e. (لان الدرس صعب - لان البيت كبير)
Use LENNAHO (لانه) in the reset cases. i.e. (لانه يجب علي - لانه من الصعب - لانه هو قال ذلك)
So, whenever (لان) is followed by JOMLAH ISMEYA (جملة اسمية) use only (لان).

مرحبا ايهاب

شكراً على هذا الجواب

وفي غضون ذلك وجدت المعلومات التالية في هذا الكتاب

Arabic (An Essential Grammar) by Faruk Abu-Chacra

Wenn إن or أنَّ is not not immediately followed by the subjet in a verbal sentences, it takes the suffixed pronoun or the third person masculine singular : ه أنَّه، إنَّه for all genders and numbers, e.g

سمعت أنَّه تساافر البنت غدا
or
سمعت أنَّ البنت تساافر غدا

(I heard that the girl will travel tomorrow)

وشكرا لك مرة احرى
إلى اللقاء
يوهان
